Help us raise a further £2,700 towards this appeal

A number of very ancient food and wine vessels – one of which dates back to 1700 BC – are actively deteriorating and in urgent need of stabilisation and conservation.

This is particularly urgent as we plan to include them in an exhibition in 2019 which will then tour, and it’s essential that their condition is stabilised before they can travel.

Thanks to generous donations, and the support of the Association of Independent Museums, we are now just over half-way towards our target.

But we need to raise a further £2,700

A donation of any amount will help greatly towards this appeal – you can make a donation at the museum or here through mydonate.

When filling in the on-line form on mydonate please state in the message box that this is for the Metalware Conservation Appeal.
