MEAA’s collection includes over 2,000 objects from across East and Southeast Asia, including ceramics, metalware, bamboo, lacquerware, and jade. 

The Museum is based on the collection of our founder Brian McElney. Since MEAA’s creation in 1993, we have been growing our collection through objects donated to the Museum, or purchased with the help of the Art Fund.

Objects on display from our permanent collection span from 5,000 BC to the present. However, there are many objects we are unable to show within our galleries. We are in the process of improving our digital collection to allow you full access to everything that makes up MEAA.
