Date: 1 March 2025
Time: 13:00 - 15:00
Location: Museum Gallery
Admission: Free with museum admission

Join us at MEAA to celebrate winter!

With Japanese tea tasting, sampling onigiri, mulled apple juice, and mince pies, this is the perfect way to kickstart the beginning of the winter festivities.

Yukie Williams will be providing a taste of Japanese green tea. Yukie has over a decade’s experience in making Japanese matcha for traditional tea ceremonies and will be preparing ceremonial grade matcha for you to sample.

Alongside the teas, we will have a selection of onigiri from Peter Niisato of Katsuo, whose aim is to supply onigiri to the local community. The onigiri will consist of Japanese short grain rice, filled with various fish, meat and vegetable fillings, and tightly wrapped in nori.

We will also have some traditional English winter treats! Mulled apple juice and mince pies will be joining the traditional Japanese offerings.

No booking needed, drop-in activity.
