All proceeds will be donated to the victims of the natural disaster in the South Western part of Japan in 2018.

Join us to celebrate the Japanese Star Festival Tanabata. Make origami decorations and hang your wish on a bamboo tree; dress up in summer kimonos and join a tea ceremony.
This event is a collaboration between the Museum and the Bath & Beppu Friendship Association.
Drop in activities throughout the day:
• Summer kimono dressing up
• Origami decoration-making for Star Festival
• Display of Emakimono – a Japanese scroll drawn in collaboration between Haysfield School, Bath, and Beppu Junior High School, Japan.

Booked event:
Tea ceremony £6 includes Japanese sweet.
Book in advance. Max 10 people per session:
12:30, 13:00, 13:30, 14:00, 14:30, 15:00, 15:30 & 16:00
