Experience the wonders of Japanese tea ceremony in the Museum galleries with Yukie Williams.
Yukie has over 10 years’ experience practicing tea ceremony, known as sadō, inspired by her early years in Japan.

This intimate demonstration will give you an insight into the cultural traditions surrounding Japanese tea ceremony and give you the chance to taste Japanese matcha tea. This opportunity also includes admission to the Museum so you can discover our exquisite collections, including tea-ware from East and Southeast Asia, and our two current exhibitions ‘Judo: A Cultural History of Martial Art’ and ‘Global SinoPhoto Awards 2021’.

This is a 25 minutes experience. There will be four sessions, maximum 4 people per session, booking required.
