Celebrate Lunar New Year at MEAA from 21 January to 18 February 2023 with a wide range of activities. Learn about the symbolism and tradition of the Lion Dance through our temporary exhibit on the second floor, take part in family workshops, and explore the collection through Lunar New Year inspired trails. All activities are free with entry to the Museum. Free entry for children under 18 years old.

 

Saturday 21 January and Saturday 28 January we will be holding two drop-in workshops from 11am – 3pm alongside some seasonal snack samples to celebrate the Year of the Rabbit! 

  • Rabbit Ears Workshop

Using our Museum’s collection and current exhibition as inspiration, create your own colourful collage rabbit ears.

  • Rabbit Origami Workshop

Celebrate the Year of the Rabbit at the Museum of East Asian Art and create your own origami rabbit. With different levels of difficulty, this drop-in session is perfect for a beginner to learn the basics.
