Throughout Museums Week, the Museum of East Asian Art team will be running 20 minutes Spotlight Tours of our new exhibition ‘Revolution, Propaganda, Art: Printmaking in Modern in China’.
This retrospective includes a selection of prints chosen from every decade since the influential writer and critic Lu Xun (1881-1936) founded the Modern Woodcut Movement in the 1930s. The exhibition delves into artistic trends, political developments and technical innovations.
The Spotlight Tours offer a unique opportunity to explore how modern Chinese culture and history influenced the development of woodblock printing over the 20th and the 21st centuries.
10 people per tour, first come first served.
