The tea ceremonies run on Thursdays: 28 September, 26 October and 30 November (Last Thursday of every month)

Experience the wonders of Japanese tea ceremony with Yukie Williams and presented by Yukie Scott.

Set in our tranquil gallery space, this intimate demonstration will give you an insight into the cultural traditions surrounding the Japanese tea ceremony and the chance to taste Japanese matcha tea. Participants will also have the chance to explore the galleries and discover our temporary exhibitions and exquisite collections, including tea-ware from East and South East Asia.

Yukie Williams has over 10 years’ experience practising Japanese tea ceremonies, known as sadō (茶道), inspired by her early years in Japan. You will learn about the details and meaning behind each step of the Japanese tea ceremony.

session 1: 11:00 – 11:45am
session 2: 12:00  – 12:45pm

This event is suitable for age 13 and above. Maximum 6 people per session.
