Join us at the Museum to celebrate Tanabata, the Japanese Star Festival. Learn the story of the star-crossed lovers and how they can only meet for one day of the year. Get creative with our craft activities and making tanzaku wishing strips.
All the craft activities are free with standard entry to the museum and are generally suitable for those aged 5-11 with adult supervision. There is no need to book, simply drop in and enjoy!
Our event is held in collaboration with the Herschel Museum of Astronomy here in Bath. Make it a day of family fun with a visit to both museums. Pop over there with a MEAA ticket for 50% off entrance and hang your wishing strip on one of their garden trees. You can also receive 50% off entry to MEAA with a Herschel Museum receipt.
